Pink Floyd, Close beetween led zepplein tho

PINK FLOYD. By far. I hate the Who.

Why is it always the three same bands.
cant we seep past the textbook mainstream cult bands..like Floyd.

Oh, and yeah, the Who are cack.

So why don't you come up with a poll for us? I'd be interested in your choice of bands. Oh, and how can a band be mainstream and cult at the same time? Just wondering.

BTW, wouldn't the Beatles be considered a textbook, mainstream, cult band? Whatever that means.

Ive picked up certain hints that a strong sense of displeasure and hostility has been developed towards myself by you Maccalvr..so I will try and resolve such a matter.

Cult in my eyes stands for an obsessive state of mind, especially devotion for a person, principle, or thing. This can obviously be attributed to Bands such as Floyd OR the Beatles (for debate sake). Mainstream doesnt contradict the term Cult*, and I was applying the word mainstream in the context to this Website (as well as the originally-perceived meaning), that Floyd seems to be a prevailing current of influence in the cluster of Voting threads.

Yes the Beatles would be classed as a "textbook, mainstream, cult band" .. But if Im not mistaken this is in the forum 'Other Artists, Lyrics, Discographies and Different Websources' (quite a mouthful) .. I never disagreed the Beatles were not mainstream/Cult .. on the contrary I often praise the fact the Beatles seemed to work in reverse order ..going from Saturated Pop-Pin ups to Underground Artists.

I was merely pointing out that other bands might be more refreshing.

Cream, The Byrds, The Groundhogs etc etc.

So please drop the aggressive tone, and dont try and make me look foolish.

Anyway, I was thinking of cult in a different way actually. But that makes sense. I'm not sure what hostility you're thinking about, but I was just offering a countering opinion.  Have I been rude to you in other posts? If so, I'm sorry! I'm not really trying to go there. Hey, maybe I was oversensitive to that Who comment!! BTW, what is cack?? I have no idea.

I felt this was aggressive because I thought the first half was rhetorical in the sense of mocking

and the Oh* transforming the feel of the post from written to Spoken, with this as the second attack*a mere footnote.

Attack is a rather harsh word to use but if that's how you felt then that's how you felt!  I don't know what else to say. I've already said sorry. I'm not here to start arguments or attack anyone. But as much as I post I'm bound to annoy somebody along the way I guess.

I can't decide between Led Zeppelin and The Who... they're both awesome!

I always love the bass fills on My Generation..makes me smile everytime.

I like the drumming on Happy Jack. Very different. Although a lot of his drumming is different. In a good way.

Because people keep changing their minds!! Floyds in the lead on another post! They're all great though. That's why it's so hard to make a choice!!! It's like Sophie's Choice!! Torturous! Well, except for Zeppelin. I'd give them up first.

I think Pink Floyd, the Who & Led Zeppelin are 3 equally great legendary rock bands.

wow! this one is a hard one. they arel all 3 great bands and are 3 of the best bands in the history of rock music.

i picked led zeppelin becuase they are the best, but floyd is a close second and the who are still great (especially entwistle).
