Voted for "Strawberry Fields" because I don't consider "I'm Only Sleeping" to be psychedelic, although it is my favorite Beatles song.

I Am The Walrus ... it's the most (maybe not the best) psychedelic song by John however She Said, She Said is the trippiest, in my opinion!

Why did we limit it to four? Lennon has many more phychedelic tunes.

I would've voted Strawbery either way.

I don't think She Said She Said is trippy at all. And I've listened to Revolver high many times. I mean, granted, there are the cryptic lyrics, but I always took them in a more cynical way then phychedelic.

I've not talked about lyrics ... and I think it's a kind of first wave of phychedelia (in Eight High Miles vein) ... I like it much more than Rain or I'm Only Sleeping (which haven't got very phychedelic lyrics, in my opinion) and I think trippy is a better qualifier for these songs   ...

Maybe. It does beg the question: what is psychadelic?

I've always thought of it as a movement; an era, rather than any particular type of music.

Mostly agree ... some say that George's 'indian' songs (Within You Without You and others) were/are psychedelic

They just sound Indian to me. They are evocative of a period though. But only because we know when they come from. They could actually have been made yesterday.

So the question remains ... subjective, I guess

Well I've always thought that it certainly isn't A type of music.

I think there are things that can define psychedelic music. But I think sometimes people make the mistake of labelling a song such just because thew lyric is alledgedly (sp) about drugs. She Said .. could have the lyric changed to a love song and nothing about the arrangement is pysc, so I don't think it qualifies, anymore than say Got Get You IML

I think it's more about the mood that defines psychedelic music (there were instrumentals too so I don't pay attention to the lyrics when I think of psychedelia) ...

...about She Said She Said, I don't think it's psychedelic at all but the trippiest song they made ...
