The white noise?  The whole song ends abruptly, it's supposed to.

no defect in your copy. that be the way it ends, doncha know.

the fun part is listening to what they were playing for several bars before it cut cut off abruptly.

theres' a milliion things going on there, especially mccartneys bass lines ....which are interestingly in the background compared to the stout guitar line that repeats over and over. make that 2 guitar parts.

and the B3  organ part.......it's a teaser. one could sit mesmerized and listen to it  for a couple months and not be bored.

but they had to end it somehow.

Very true. Macca's high fret throbs and those soulful hammond licks make it a great 'listening' track. The change into the latin feel freaks me out too...................."She's so"...... love it!!!!

Wasn't there a certain reason they cut it off like that? I thought I read somewhere that "if you don't know why they cut it off, you're not a true Beatles fan," and then from then on I always thought I wasn't really a fan

John just suddenly and spontaneously told the engineer to stop the tape...right....THERE!

No you have no deficiencies  as a fan and there never was any big secret reason why it was done that way.

Ah... where ever i was reading about the song, the guy who wrote it made it sound like it was a big deal... ah well...

I still like the way it ends... everytime it's playing and non-fans are in the room, I always shout out, "who turned it off??"
No one else finds it funny but me
