I just bought this great brand new hardcover book called The Beatles 10 Years That Shook The World which cost over $35.00 at a famous media center which has lots of great pictures & is more about their music, their albums, their concerts & their attitude & less gossipy crap which is what it's all about to me as a dedicated Beatles fan which I highly recommend. BTW, it's kind of similiar to The Beatles Anthology book except with less quotes & not as big. |

Can anyone post the pictures (or at least, some pictures from that book) and post them here? I want to see if I don't have them and so to see if it's worth it to order it at amazon. Well, probablñy so, as all the Beatles things are worthy buying them! |

The Beatles 10 Years That Shook The World is one of the BEST Beatles books because there's not any fluff in it or looking too deeply into subjects like the Paul is dead fiasco since it's more about rock & roll along with dates year by year without being a heavy read for any Beatles fan & it cost just under $40 when I bought it. |

Sounds good, I hate those types of gossipy books. Although I somehow seem to have aquired not one but two copies of "The Love You Make" this Christmas. |

I think that book is actually a combination of the best bits of the Mojo magazine Beatles Specials - I think there were 4 in all. |

Yeah, you're right Alan. I've got the first 2 specials..and then the hardback (all 3 or 4?) It's a well designed book, with some good photography. The articles are written by leading Beatle Experts - Barry Miles Ian Macdonald etc It's pretty valuable, if you want a little bit more knowledge than the average listener. But we all know the story anyhow  |

These are the Mojo Magazine Beatles' Specials that the "10 Years" book is based on The Beatlemania Years edition  The Psychedelic Years edition  Th Final Years edition  There was also a solo years special with a cover dedicated to each Beatle but as far as I'm aware this was not incorporated in the book.  |

Some Beatles books are so cheesy it's not even funny, because I have read most of them & they're a waste of time. I think 10 Years That Shook The World is one of the coolest books on the Beatles for old fans like myself & young ones. It's got historic dates, cool pictures, great stories, without any fluff & no heavy reading. It was worth buying & it's the kind of Beatles book I have had in mind for over 30 years as a fan. Mojo magazine is dedicated to classic rock I believe & they do a pretty good job from what I have heard. I plan on looking at the other ones at the local library & I'm looking forward to reading Clapton's autobiography next year. It's going to be kind of freaky with EC & Patti Boyd fighting it out in their books with George in the middle. |
