I hope he DOESN'T do Hey Jude, Yesterday, Let It Be, or anything else cliched and predictable. Helter Skelter would be a good choice. Or Back In The USSR.
I'm with you. It would be great if he did some Beatle song that nobody would expect. I'm constantly hearing people say that all Beatles songs sounded alike or that they repeated themselves. Sheesh!! It's because the same 10 songs are played all the time!! Helter Skelter would be very cool. So would Blackbird, Carry That Weight, I've Got a Feeling...So many to choose from!!!
I'll be watching the Superbowl just for that halftime. And yes, Helter Skelter would be such an outstanding choice. The only thing is if his voice can do that song nowadays.
he did a good job handling Helter Skelter in his last euro tour so I don't see why he'll have problems with the song in the superbowl.
As for the song selection, I don't think Paul will sing Let It Be, Hey Jude or any other of his 'slow' songs. Bands that play in the superbowl usually play fast uptempo songs so my guess is that Paul will play a rocker.
Ive seen him do Get Back at Glastonbury...and it was kind of disapointing..his voice (obviously) didnt have the same feeling as the Original Get Back..which is what I love about it.
Helter Skelter is great, the guitar riffs etc are spot on.. really good version.
He seems to do I'm Down a lot. Maybe he'll do that one. I love when he sings it at the Shea concert. Mainly because of John! But he really lets go on it. That's what I love. The screams.
Hey Jude may start slow, but it's kinda uplifting at the end. I could see the whole place singing along to it!! Na, na, na, nananana..... I'd love to see that.
Yeah, I'm sure that one will go over well with the crowd.... Even Silly Love Songs would be better than Freedom. (Although I admit I do like Silly Love Songs.. it's very catchy.)
You're so vain, you probably think this post is about you.
