Pink floyd is one of the greatest bands ever there music is awesome.
David Glimour has one of the best rock voices ever.

Syd was really not much of a singer. I think with him it was more the lyrics and tone of the song. He didn't seem to have a big range. Dave on the other hand can do it all. I love him on Cellestial Voices. Amazing. But it's all a matter of preference of course.

YES! They do! For some reason I thought you were getting tired of them.

...pile on many more layers and I'll be joining you there..

(truth and delusion)

I love how it starts and ends with the same song! And every track on it is amazing!

As soon as I typed it, I thought I should use the modify button to fix it, but then I thought "nah, I'll see if she catches it"

In my english class we were reading animal farm so i brought in my copy of animals and played it to the class and taled about the meaning of the lyrics one day.  Some people got it, others didnt.  their loss.  But i can't stop playing Wish You Were Here, with only 5 songs its incredible.

I LOVED Animal Farm! I read it in 9th grade. No one thought to bring in Animals though. That would have been beyond cool. What a great idea!

How old is your teacher?? He/she was probably a teen when Floyd was huge. I don't get it!! Have you seen the film of Animal Farm yet? I remember doing Romeo and Juliet that year as well. It was a book that had both that play and West Side Story. We had to discuss the similarities and stuff. Done that yet?

yeah romeo and juliet was 9th grade.  My teacher is this crazy uptight nutjob.  I actually had a thread in here earlier about her freaking because i counted John Lennon lyrics in as poetry, as if because their set to music their different.  I dont think she was much of a Floyd fan.
