Oh yeah, I remember that. I thought that was before the summer though? What a twit she is for not realizing the importance of Lennon/McCartney. They're the poets of our generation. Well, them and Bob Dylan. I mean, does she realize that Keats and Shelley are long gone. They were probably ridiculed in their time as well for being bohemian.

yeah, youre right she was my teacher last year as well, but many teachers here teach multiple grades, so I have her this year as well. This reminds me of one of my favorite Dylan quotes: "A poem is a naked person. Some people say I'm a poet."
Also reminds me of a time i quoted Pink floyd to a techer, I forget what the context of the situation was, but he recognized it and was cool to me ever since. I think it was :did you exchange a walk on role in the war, for a leading part in the cage" I wish i could remember the context, it made sense at the time
Did you see Dylan on 20/20? I missed it, but I heard he said something about not being able to write anymore and that he doesn't even know who that guy was who wrote all those songs. It's sorta sad.

i taped it but I havent had the chance to watch it yet. i'll post after i watch it. Sometimes i hate hearing his comments about his early years, he's so dismissive of things that were very powerful to me, and a generation before me
