The lyrics in this German version are a whole lot different to I Want to Hold Your Hand, in many ways (eg. the English is "I Want to Hold You Hand", whereas the German equivalent is "Come, Give Me Your Hand").
After going over the lyrics to Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand, I have come to the conclusion that this song is, really, a whole lot more beautiful and sweeter that I Want to Hold Your Hand. I just thought it was so sweet the: “O you is as beautifully beautiful as a Diamond”, even if a lot of the power was lost in translation, and so someone who speaks German could fully grasp Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand’s beauty.
Does anyone know where I could find a better translation of Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand that still keeps the poetic vibrancy expressed in Google’s humble translation? Otherwise... what do you think of it?
After reading the English version of Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand, think that the "humble Google translation" was a lot better, despite some parts making no sense at all.
