You're implying he actually stole the melody from He's So Fine? Unless you're being sarcastic...
No sarcasm intended, and of course he didn't steal the melody... I'm just saying that his song is much better despite the "original," that most people think he ripped off...
even if he did, so what? there are only so many chords and so many progressions and melodies in existance that can be used in a song... so what if, by chance, two songs sound almost exactly alike?
ah well... no harm intended... sorry if i... offended you...

None taken. And it is true, there are only so many chord progressions that can be made from a guitar. It's a huge number, but a finite one nonetheless. I mean, find me a song that doesn't start with C-F (Imagine, Don't Look Back in Anger, Watching the Wheels, etc). Popular music just uses the same chords, so I agree its ludicrous to have sued George. And it just seemed that your post before was actually saying George may have conciously ripped He's So Fine off, that's all.
My Sweet Lord is pretty good, I like Give Me Love better. Mainly because I'm a Christian and don't want to sing along with the backup when they start chanting Hare Krishna. Don't get me wrong, I like the song, but I don't want to be chanting things for other religions.
Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo Here comes the sun, and I say It's all right
I love My Sweet Lord, it's such an inspirational song... He uses an amazing voice in the tune and it is always wonderful to hear... Not to mention the awesome slide guitar! Such a great tone there.
It's one of the best songs, George has written, probably his best. I love this song, what do I care the "He'so fine mess" ! Listening to the slide guitar gives me the creeps, My Sweet Lord is inspiring. I also love Billy Preston's version performed at the Concert For George. Klaus
