Imagine, the Beatles would have had a reunion in 1974. The possible double album in my imagination :
Side 1 :
1. Imagine (Lennon) 2. Another Day (McCartney) 3. Instant Karma (Lennon) 4. Give Me Love (Harrison) 5. Every Night (McCartney) 6. Look At Me (Lennon) 7. I'd HaveYou Anytime (Harrison)
Side 2 :
1. Band On The Run (McCartney) 2. It Don't Come Easy (Starkey) 3. Maybe I'm Amazed (McCartney) 4. I Don't Wanna Be A Soldier (Lennon) 5. All Things Must Pass (Harrison) 6. Tight As (Lennon) 7. Live And Let Die (McCartney) 8. I'm The Greatest (Lennon)
Side 3:
1. Jealous Guy (Lennon) 2. My Sweet Lord (Harrison) 3. My Love (McCartney) 4. Photograph (Starkey/Harrison) 5. Hi, Hi, Hi (McCartney) 6. It's So Hard (Lennon) 7. Let Me Roll It (McCartney)
Side 4:
1. Mother (Lennon) 2. Beware Of Darkness (Harrison) 3. Jet (McCartney) 4. Cold Turkey (Lennon) 5. Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five (McCartney) 6. Apple Scruffs (Harrison) 7. Working Class Hero (Lennon)
What would be your possible 1974 Beatles Double-album, I'm very curious about your choice! Klaus
Klaus
Tranlating for the english speaking people :
Sandman commented my thread saying : Some tracks, I listed, were written after the split.
My repeat :
I know that Sandman, it's all fiction, just fun. It's like the Beatles would have had a three years break and than would have had released a new double album. This would be a possible tracklist of that fictional LP. Most of the songs I listed were written after the split, I know that of course. Like I said, it's just fun...................... If somebody likes that nonsense too, tell me, what would be your tracklist of a fictional Beatles album. You have to imagine, that there was no solo-album, they just had a break, you know. Maybe you'll find I have a strange kind of humour, but that's the way it is. Tell me your tracklist if you like it. Klaus
Not yet bad, but the George pic is from 1976, take one of the early 70'ies. Can you tell me, how you can get a pic into your quick reply ? I don't know, how to handle that, thanx, Klaus
Hallo Sandman1954,
Falls du interessiert bist, meine e-mail Adresse findest du ja hier, Gruesse, Klaus
Hey sorry people, what is that dumbo thing, and what has that to do with my threat ???? I don't understand, what's going on here ? I'd like you to explain me, or to give a comment to my threat, because I'm not involved in your "dumbo problems". So please refer to my fictional Beatles album or look for another place to struggle with your dumbo s**t. Thanx, Klaus
Easy Klaus. Heres the quick synopsis that will explain everything. Your native tongue speaking buddy up there, Sandman1954,,,,,or Dandee, or dibo, or child_robbery, or whoever he'll login with tomorrow is a royal pain in the @ss. He's tarnished the integrity of every member on this forum by stating that we're all stupid and not true Beatle fans at one time or another. He is in another words,,,,,a troll. The dumbo replies are to deter him from posting and i'm afraid that they are not going to stop. If anything, the boards will probably get uglier as long as he stays. Sorry it imposed on your thread.
One other thing though, I think its great that this forum has members from every corner of the globe, but 99% of the members type in english. If your demanding that we take our dumbo $hit somewhere else,,,,,well maybe the german conversations can go with it.
thanx for your explanations, now I understand better, what was going on there. I'm relatively new at the forums, so I didn't know, what was meant. Refering to your point of speaking german, I hope, you recognized, that I always translated my answers to the german asked questions of Gibson_guitar (or whatever his name is) into English, because I absolutely agree with you : It makes no sense, to speak another language than English at an international forum like this is. And I want people to understand me, so in the future I will write nothing but English ! By the way, that's a good exercise for me, to brush up my English.
To come back to my original thread : Today I created the fictional double Beatles-album I introduced in the beginning of this thread on my PC- CD-writer. I like it very much, it's like a "best of John, Paul, George and Ringo" of the first 4 years after the Beatles' split. "Closing my eyes and putting out my brain" it actually sounds a bit like a real Beatles album ! Check it out, and tell me, what you think about it. Klaus
1. Imagine (Lennon) 2. Another Day (McCartney) 3. Instant Karma (Lennon) 4. Give Me Love (Harrison) 5. Every Night (McCartney) 6. Look At Me (Lennon) 7. I'd HaveYou Anytime (Harrison)

Nice job Klaus, I've always toyed with the idea of them having stayed together and what an album in the early 70's would have looked like. I really don't know if I can do much better.
Its interesting to think about how the above songs would have been slightly different had they all worked on them, added vocals, etc. tkitna mentioned he was going to burn this list you made and I think that's darn fine idea myself. I'm gonna do the same.
nice to hear, that you like my fictional Beatle-record. I developed the idea remembering my teenage days. At that time (It was in 1978 I think) I recorded a similar compilation of solo-tracks on to cassette, but it got lost through the years. Now, in the "era of creating your own CD's", I remembered that old cassette, and I created the version you'll find above.
Good fun with it, Klaus
PS: Sorry, that my answer's so late, but my PC was damaged, and it took me some time to repair it, but now, I'm online again.
