I was walking with my friend down the hallway today singing Why Don't We Do it in the Road? as loud as I could
He, he, he... I do that all the time - but I don't get in trouble for it.
Anyway, what I wanted to say was this: The Revolver album is one of the highest esteemed albums. It marks the epitome of the full-scale revolution that the Beatles made in their music, and this was clearly evident with the great stepping-stone known as Rubber Soul (Which, I regret, used to be one of my least favourite). But despite how esteemed Revolver is, it's apparent that the individual songs on the album are underrated. With exceptions to songs like "Yellow Submarine", "Eleanor Rigby", "Got to Get You Into My Life" and "Tomorrow Never Knows", there is a mass of brilliant songs ("Good Day Sunshine", "And Your Bird Can Sing" being my favourite) that are undeservingly overshadowed by the more well-known tracks, and don't appear to get the attention they deserve.
Hey Bulldog needs more credit. Even though it was basically thrown together just for the Yellow Submarine film...
You've Got to Hide Your Love away is unappreciated. I like it. So, blah. XD
...I've Got A Feeling! I <3 that song...also incredibly unappreciated. It's so...PERFECT. John and Paul singing different things, but it's all...the same spiffy song.
Things they do look awful c-c-cold... yeah,I hope I die before I get old.
Now we just need to assemble these tracks into an album....
