Years ago I would have said John; no question. Now all I can say is that the Beatles were a great unit. "Hey Jude" or "Come Together?" I'll have both.

I'll go along with liking them all as a unit.

Through '65 I like John a whole lot more - witty, irreverent, confident, driven, talented, holy cow the whole kielbasi.

But after he got crisped out, he seemed like a different person - passive, angry and bitter, paranoid. From what I can tell, Paul wasn't a really nice guy either at the end, so they both forfeit then IMO.
