what is the best/ultimate fifth beatle out of the above...looking at the choice, i cant help thinking the one that deserves the title should be george martin, or pete best.

you also forget Neil aspinall.... im sure by many that he would of been regarded as a 5th Beatle...as he was with the boys right from the start ......also in the 60's the "MEDIA" portraid Georgie Best the GREAT footballer as being the 5th Beatle due to his  fame and lifestyle.... lol

If any body was the fifth Beatle, it HAS to be Billy Preston. Only guy to get a performing credit on a Beatles record label. GET BACK - The Beatles with Billy Preston, DON"T LET ME DOWN - The Beatles with Billy Preston were the A and B sides of their first 1969 single.

I think some of these people got pulled out of left field somewhere to be included on this list.  I think half of them should be crossed off; there seems to be way too many people here.

Mr Mclen, if you care to look down the headings of this forum, you'll find a WHOLE SECTION devoted to this "fifth Beatle" stuff. It's very easy to find: it's called THE FIFTH BEATLES, which I found to be a dead giveaway as to its contents.
