It was surmised by someone somewhere that it might be about Brian hiding his sexuality.  Realistically that just doesn't make much sense.  It's like coming up with an answer to a question never asked.

Even if he HAD written it to or about Brian, that has no bearing on him being gay (which he wasn't).

Peter Brown was close to the beatles and wounded them all mightily when he wrote that book.  He lied, and he also told secrets he sholdn't have.

There you go....I heard that..It has been written and documented a lot of times about Brian's feelings for John....True or not....So what? The crush bit may have had nothing to do with it and maybe John wrote it anyway with Brian and other gays he may have known in mind.....No biggy.

I think it's fair to say that John was impressed and fascinated with Brian, but stopped short of an affair.

Over the years, John shagged a lot of women (including a Chiffon I think... my sweet Lord!!), but only one unfounded gay rumour has EVER surfaced. Draw your own conclusions from that!
