I liked Animal Farm, but I dunno, he was wrong with 1984 wasn't he? All this doomsday stuff... The Handmaiden's Tale and whatnot... I don't think it's really true. People used to say that by the year 2000 we would all have identification numbers instead of names.

1984 is an ok book...I mean in terms of Big Brother etc...He was way ahead of his time. Now with terrorism, they are to introduce I.D. cards with fingerprints to everyone eventually. Just a chilling prophecy of what may happen..Te rest is up to us...Or them (Governments). lol...Also back to Mairi's point...I think they deemed sex was un-neccessary.....Now we got artificial insemnation. If you read a bit deeper, I'm sure you'll be more aware of it's poignance.....I'm no booky by the way...Juat happened to read that one. lol
