don't know if this has been done before, but what do people think of this (not including the stupid Jam disc0
My Beatle reading's a little out of date, but I remember it being totally panned and as a result destroying Johns confidence (I think everything post this is flat and uninspired)
Personally, I think its a great album. Musically his strongest by far.

STINYC is one of the most underrated classic rock albums of all time even though it's great for the most part despite radical liberal left lyrics but John still kicks a**.

I want you, I want you so bad babe.  I want you, I want you so bad.  It's driving me mad, it's driving me mad.

Disc 2 hs some fine moments: live Cold Turkey, and Well (Bany Please Don't Go).

Disc 1 is an odd one. Most people find it hard to separate the sentiments from the music. The presence of Yoko also taints the record for many people.

My take on Disc 1 is that its day is yet to come. It is a superb snapshot of those political times, as seen from a left-wing point of view. It's almost an historical document.

It's also the last time John and Yoko were both pulling in same direction. SINYC is a great John-and-Yoko album, where they share composing credits, vocals, etc etc. IMO, it's the last time John was totally focussed and committed.

It doesn't deserve the sneers that many people give it. It is ertainly "nobler" than the snivelling MIND GAMES, and more focussed than WALLS AND BRIDGES. I mean, the damn record has a POINT to it, y'know?

New York City, Sunday Bloody Sunday, John Sinclair & The Luck Of The Irish as well as Woman Is The ...... Of The World are GREAT tracks but highly underrated because of the lyrical content.

This album is more melodic than most people think. If anyone is able to listen to the music the melodies and their strengh will grow up inside. It's one of the most underrated albums of their solo careers.

Sometime In NYC is a GREAT classic rock album with solid tracks despite being far left lyrically but is still underrated & under appreciated over 30 years later when John was at his rockin best.

I love this album.
I remember when I first saw it in the store and I though what an ugly cover.
But it's great.
I believe in the Playboy interviews John held it (the interviewer brought the albums to jog John's memory, I guess) and smiled and said something like, 'It's so nice to see this again'.

John: You're just a lonely old man from Liverpool.
Grandfather: But I'm clean!
John: Are ya?
