I have been talking to this individual.  I stopped being aggressive and asked him to do the same.  After some back and forth about his grievances I thought we had gotten to a point where if all of us left him alone or just posted Beatles then he could do the same and just post Beatle stuff.  No making fun of his language barrier, etc.

Unfortunately it looks like he decided not to do it.  It was worth a shot, and I was serious as to if he behaved I would stress we should all try.  This was pc's basic idea I stole, a change of tactics as it were.

I can't respond to his latest pm, he must have me blocked.  Pity.  

His admission that he has just been trolling pretty well says it all I guess.

I think it will be easy enough to just ignore him.  Or answer him with on-topic stuff, unrelated to what he said.  Or even just answer what he says if it's reasonable and on-topic.

I can still work behind the scenes to either remove him from the forum or to make some sort of peace, but frankly it's not worth the time or effort anymore.  Banging one's head against a brick wall never hurts the bricks.

I say let's start fresh.  You post about beatles, we all will do the same, no insults (or minimal...some discussions do get heated at times).  

No jokes about germans, language, anything else.  And you stop annoying the females.  That is just not cool.

I know it's been tried before and failed.  Perhaps now we can all move on.

I agree with this. Sometimes he does good posts and just gets shot down everytime.
I know I'm relatively new and don't have the history with him that some of you do, but I think we should try and embrace, not reject.
He has one hell of a collection of stuff which I personally would love to tap into.

I gotta say that after an appeal...he pulled down his posts which shows a mark of decency...The pics were pretty horrific tho.
Anyways..Good action breeds good reaction...That's what I'm gonna go by.

lol, now it looks like Apple was talking to himself.  It took me about 6 posts before realizing that Dirk's posts were being deleted.  I was going, "wtf is Apple talking about??"

Anyway, I wouldn't mind a button myself to get rid of people like Dirk, but most of the members have been uped to moderator status recently, so I'll wait my turn
