Got any gigs lined up this year? If so, who?

I'm going to see Brendan Benson next week!! He is simply awesome and a huge Beatle fan by the way. He often plays Let Me Roll It in his sets - and bloody good it is too! The last time I saw BB, Jack White jumped up on stage and did a number with him - 'Good To Me' which was written by Brendan Benson and was the B-side of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes!!!

So, what have you go lined up?

I might check out Foreigner April 29th because its at the Pepsi-Roadhouse which equals,,,,,,seats no further than 60ft. away and Ribs and Steak before the show.

Sidenote---- April 14th,,,,Steve Gadd is doing a drum clinic in Pittsburgh. To say that i'll be there is an understatement.

I go to about 50-60 gigs per year, most of them are small hardcore/punk gigs.

In the summer I usually go to 1 or 2 big festivals (I've been to Dynamo Open Air, Lowlands, Graspop, Pukkelpop and Rock Werchter several times), but I rarely go to big stadium concerts or anything like that.

I'm not planning on going to any concerts this year or next year or the year after that because you have to sell your house to buy tickets nowadays but I have my memories of concerts past that I went to a long, long time ago when getting tickets was like getting a meal at a steakhouse.  I saw Van Halen(84), AC/DC(83), Ozzy Osbourne(83), Molly Hatchet/Blackfoot(83), Heart/Kansas(83) & Iron Maiden/Quiet Riot(83) at the height of Metal Health mania live during my youth which I will never forget.  Going to concerts isn't like it used to be while tours by real artists who can perform like Paul McCartney, the Stones & possibly AC/DC this year & a few more from the 60's & the 70's probably won't be as successful sadly since the kids aren't too interested in dinosaurs.

concerts don't do it for me anymore (either I'm getting old or the musics getting bad)
Highlights in the past have been The Clash and Simon and Garfunkel.
Biggest dissapointment-Bowie on the Glass Spider tour.
Worst-Dire Straits (my girlfriend liked them)
I fell asleep at a UB40 concert.

Well it's costing me as usual but, I'm going to see "Oasis" twice,  the FutureHeads, Athlete along with Snow Patrol! I'm sure there will be more but that's all for now. (PS) saw "Keane" with the "Red Walls" last month.

I'm going to see The Raconteurs at the Astoria on 23 March!!! The Raconteurs are Brendan Benson and Jack White (of The White Stripes) they've teamed up and formed a new band (CD out soon!). REALLY looking forward to that one. By the way, check out my first post in this thread - you read it here first!!!!
