Does anybody know what (sounds like both) Paul and Linda are singing in the backing vocals for Smile Away?

To me it sounds like a mutated version of "I don't know how to do that" or "learnin' how to do that"...

Anybody know?

I'll listen to it more closely tomorrow, but I always just thought they were singing 'do do do do do dahs'. I've never really listened for the words to it if there are any. Well, i'm at work and thats something else to look forward to tomorrow.

I listened to it last night and I still cant make out actual words, but I dont have the best ear either.

I think I got it! It's gotta be "don't know how to do that", because I messed with it in an audio editing program and I'm sure that's what I hear... Also, going into the verse, they sing "noooo... no no..." so it wouldn't make sense if it was anything else...

Anyone agree? Hear otherwise?

then sometime near the end it sounds like it changes to "learnin' how to do that," as in to fit a sort of theme or something...

It's either "learnin' how to do that" or "don't know how to do that". One thing's for sure -- it's not "do do do do do dah's".

Charlie left after a HUGE fight with - mostly - me and juniorsfarm. Charlie (typically) couldn't abide being disagreed with.

Charlie accused me of being Maria, and another character called Rotman. I don't know anything about Maria or Rotman. But if Charlie hated them, they must have been cool!
