...

And Raxo, I don't think anyone was generalizing. We were just discussing. People shouldn't be afraid to talk about these things. That's what OPENS up minds. That's how you learn. Talk and communicate. Was anyone being nasty or anything? It's all just healthy debate. One opinion is worth just as much as the other and all worth hearing.

I was not saying that anyone was doing (generalizing) on the last posts ... I just posted thoughts ("random ones", y'know) ... and I tried not to confuse people -precisely in this way- by not posting all of them only on one by on four, y'know ... to give distance somehow ... but I admit that -after reading the last posts- it may sound as if I was refering to them ... but I was not. I wouldn't have posted that here if this would have been a thread with ONE defined topic ...

Anyone nasty? Where? Here?! NO! LOL! ... this could be the most peaceful thread on the net ...

Agree with the rest of your post ... and sadly it's too usual not to talk enough about everything and to be afraid of almost everything (precisely because we don't talk about) but -what's more sad- almost everyone.

I'm glad (no cunning in my words) that you remind all of us that one opinion is worth just as much as the other and all worth hearing ... one thing I've been fighting for almost all my life ...

I would say more ... majority is not always right ... majority is not right just by definition ... there are lots of sad famous examples ... we often forgot this

P.S. I would like to point that I've tried to include myself in all the comments I've made on this and my last posts here on this thread ... it's just to make clear that even the people who often think about this (humbly I include myself) often forget it too ...

Peace, Love, Health and ... Understanding for everybody, everywhere ... and a kiss for you, Sandra.

Gee, health food stores are expensive. You'd think hippies would have less money to spend. I mean, it's not like they have jobs or anything.

Moreover, recent investigation revealed that there's not much difference between normal food and health food... Except that it's more expensive...

That's all those fashionable baby boomers pretending to be a part of the counter culture, when really they are just very old children who like expensive toys.

I wish I was Joan Baez. Then I could say, "hey everybody! look at me! I'm Joan Baez!"

This is not really a random thought, but I didn't know where else to put it and I wanted to share!

I was watching The Yellow Submarine with my second grade students today, and during the All You Need is Love scene, one kid turns to me and says, 'that really is all you need.' I thought that was kind of cool.

There should be a thread for random Beatles moments or something.

Oh and then one kid goes, 'I can barely understand anything they're saying because they're English!' I thought that was funny. But I can see how they would have trouble understanding the actors exaggerated accents.

Ellie Greenwich. Ellie Greenwich. Why is it so hard for me to remember that name?

That's awesome. Its so much more poignant hearing it in that context. You don't get that with a bunch of spitting, swearing, fourteen year olds like me. Really, that's beautiful.

I'm not going to tell her she's a good singer, because, hey, I am clearly better. I'm not being conceited, I'm being honest. She's got a good enough voice, all right, but it's very generic and thin. She sings like any other high school girl.
