wasn't there the same thing with Paul? In some footage taken in India 1967 where he plays the guitar with the right hand. Same case here, as Sandra said, I guess they are ambidexterous.
It seems that Paul said once (or twice or maybe more) that he learnt to play guitar with the right hand ... too!
By the way, Ringo can be seen "playing" the guitar with the right hand in Another Girl clip ... another "proof"
And anyone noticed that the guys didn't seem so tall when they appeared in pictures with other people: Sir George (in the studio) or Peter Brown (in John's wedding) just two examples I remember now. There are videoclips of John... for example: at the beginning of Stand By Me clip John and Yoko entered the white limusine and the man besides them are taller than John (how big the limusine was!!)... if John, Paul and George were 5 11 the other men were 6 03 at least!!! I think John was about 5 08 and Paul and George about 5 09.
It seems that Cassius Clay was 6'03" (1.91 m) and he was more than half a head taller than them (a head in this pic ) so I think that they define-telly were not 5'11'' (1.80 m) ...
I adore discussions of relative height-- it's a weakness.
IMHO I believe the young Beatles shown above (as everyone shrinks when they get older) were about 5'10". The extra height was due to their heeled beatle boots. Paul is probably 5'9" or even 5'8" now, and Ringo is tiny! He was probably 5'8" at most, and is certainly 5'6" or so now. Little Ring! *chucks him under the chin*
All you've got to do is choose love. That's how I live it now. I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden. I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007

[...] I think Ringo was about 5'6.5'' (169 cm), John about 5'8.5'' (174 cm), George about 5'9.25'' (176 cm) and Paul, clearly the tallest, about 5'10'' (178 cm).

raxo, we discussed this last year in the chat room. I assure you, John was 5'9" in 1980. harihead mentioned their boots, as I did, which easily added 2 inches.
Does this site still have a chat feature? I forgot how I got there.

I remember each word of that loooong chat many months ago, Hello Goodbye (Indica was there too, for a while, do you remember?) ... and I believe you: you met him so, what's more?! ... but I was trying to discuss this a-gain, now that we've got some newbies around! ...
Thanks for the chat room link, but I'm puzzled. It asks for a login. Do I have to sign up?
What is the consensus? 5'9" for the 3 tall ones (I won't quibble about 1/2 inches) and 5'6" for Ring?
