I think Rubber Soul is The Beatles at their Prime, their best, they were perfect, this album is the answer to all great music. Every song has something special.
Though I enjoy Abbey ROad by the beatles and the wall by pink floyd more, I think this is the greatest album of all time
What Goes On has something??>?????? actually i agree, country loving people would enjoy it...Rap people enjoy Girl?......Rubber Soul I think is one of thier greatest albums, but I think Revolver is better

Considering John and Paul had about 4 weeks to write most of their songs makes it even more remarkable. Their schedule was unbelievable in '65 and it was pushing Autumn and they had to get the album together quickly for the Christmas market. I think they created some of the best stuff when they were under pressure. 'Rubber Soul' is certainly a testament to that.
Our copy totally changes the perception of the Lp due to it's different opening track. There's no "rocking" Drive My Car that opens our Lp. A folk/pop tune "I've Just Seen A Face" gave me a different impression of what this lp was going to sound like! I really feel that a "folk" feel could be interpited from this lp. The Norweegin Wood song along with I've Just Seen A Face, In My Life all point towards a mello presentation! We did not get "No Where Man" on our lp either which totally changes the perception of this lp! Don't get me wrong it's an awesome record, but it could have been even better if we had got the other version. On the second side of my lp there is no "If I Need Someone" also which greatly changes the feel of this Lp. In closing when the first opening song on my LP is a plantiff "I've Just Seen A Face" as oppose to "Drive My Car" there is a vast difference in our perceptions of Rubber Soul. Comments welcome?
i have to say that it is an absolute CRIME that "Rubber Soul" abd "Revolver" have not been re-issued on cd yet..my vinyl copy of "Rubber Soul" is pretty much warped. i really can't stand the "Rubber Soul" circa 1986 digital technology cd.
Personally, I think Rubber Soul is great, but I am not a huge fan of Girl. I like What Goes On better than Girl. The Word is good but nothing to write home about. Personally, it lags a bit in the middle for me.
Revolver is a much, much better album with the weakest spot probably being Good Day Sunshine, and I even like that song.
