this is the thread where we can share our past experiences of "mishearing" beatles lyrics without being embarrased.

It would work best if you post the name the song, the misheard lyrics, and the actual lyrics.

I'll start:

Can't Buy Me Love- Misheard Lyrics: It's puppy love
Actual Lyrics: Can't Buy Me Love

I Want to Hold Your Hand- Misheard Lyrics: I get high

Funny I always thought it was "Silly beatles standing there."  just kidding.

I can't seriously think of too many times this has happened to me but if I can remember a lyric I'll let you know.

I guess I've heard some of them wrong, but since they always put the lyrics in their albums it was easy to get them right. That and they usually sing pretty clearly. The singer I have the MOST trouble understanding has to be Mick Jagger. I cannot understand half of what he's singing most of the time.

Did you know that reviewers have dubbed his singing style "The Jagger slur"?

I didn't know that! But I totally agree! I can't even misquote any of his stuff cuz it's like jibberish! Here's one from Honky Tonk Woman-(I met her jencesen bar room queen in Memphis" and then something about New York City. I like when Whoopi Goldberg tries to sing Jumpin Jack Flash in that movie. She cracks me up. 'I was raised by two lesbians!"

Savoy Truffle:

Misheard lyrics - "We all know the deeper dark"
Actual lyric - "We all know Obladiblada"

That's the only one I can think of at the moment, but I'm sure there's more.
