I think the Beach Boys are overrated. I mean, what the hell. Yes, they influenced the Beatles and others at a certain point, but other than that what? They didn't really go anywhere after a certain point and they weren't much of a band if Brian Wilson did all the work and had session players play the hard stuff.
I'm a huge Beach Boys fan but i admit that after the Holland album in 73, they seem to sink with quite poor albums like 15 Big Ones & Keepin the Summer Alive.
It's been a Hard Days Night & i've been working like a dog!
Got to be The Stones , even so they are a fav band of mine , the music they released 1983 onwards is awful You can`t really say Cream , because thye only did , is it 3 albums , they never got chance to go crap . For the rest of the list , how can you say these are overated they are class IMO
Read the latest Story of Albert and find out the truth of The Battle Of Hastings and where it all went wrong for the English and indoor plumbing . @
the doors or the stones for me, never had time for any of the doors stuff and well i do like a couple of the stones songs ive also never been able to sit and listen to any of there albums.
the who. Yeah they were good as a live band, and smashed stuff, and all that and I agree 'Live and leeds' fuckin rocks, but other than this what have they done? Nothing that I'm interested in, that's fo sho. None of the other bands I feel are really overated, apart from the Stones maybe..I mean HOW FAR CAN YOU TAKE THE BLUES?! Only so far...everything they've ever done after 1972 is repeated over, and over.
