CCR isnt overrated. They rule. John Fogerty's voice is incredible. Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Fortunate Son and Up Around the Bend are all great songs (they have tons more). I'd say theyre underrated if anything, as they arent usually mentioned with most other famous 60s bands.
And there's a reason for that--They sucked. Just my opinion. Sitting through their 1/2 hour version of 'Grapevine' is torture, they couldn't even jam well.
I was just watching the Concert for New York again and as usual the WHO blew everyone else away! Jagger/Richards doing Stones songs and McCartney doing Beatles songs. Not to mention Bowie, Elton, and all the newer bands. I remember when it originally aired, that's what was talked about for days after, how the Who took over the whole show. That audience did not jump around and get that excited for any other band. This is the greatness of the Who. And yet they get credit for NOTHING!!!!!!
So in conclusion, how on EARTH could they possibly be overrated???

and saying the Stones is overrated is only because youve only heard thier big hits
No, it's because most people considered them to be the 2nd greatest band ever, while I don't even like any of their songs. Seriously, I don't like any of them. So from my point of view, they're extremely overrated.
