The White Album was the one that made me become a Beatles fan. It´s one of those albums that changed my life. The ´Imagine´ soundtrack drew my attention to them but with the White Album I was simply stunned. I never cared much for Dear Prudence back then. I thought it was ok, but nothing spectecular. Now is a different story.

Anyway, do you know if Dear Prudence is available without the sound of the jet engine in the beginning? Like A Day in the Life is on the ´Imagine´ soundtrack.

Doubt it though.

Dear Prudence, great song.

One of John's best I believe.

I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves, and I hope we pass the audition.

This is coming from a person who has only heard 2 minutes of Revolution 9 and a handful of Beatles songs. Not to worry.

I dunno what's going on.... but I think what Borrie meant by "I never heard it" was that s/he had never heard the version without the jet engine sound at the beginning, not that s/he had never heard Dear Prudence.

Juniorsfarm... That's not the way to welcome a new and enthousiastic forum-member, is it? I simply meant I never heard Dear Prudence without the jet sound. Try me, big boy...

Hi, this is Bobber. This is a new place for me and hope to find some Beatles-fans over here. Browsed a lot and am really looking for a place where the fans respect each other... I mean, reading all this and other messages... Is this the right place? Borrie is right: baby or maximum member: we all have the same thing in common, don't we? Baby member does not mean you've only listened to two minutes of whatever song, is it? Maybe we just didn't know about this forum before! You should have told us...
Okay, about the Dear Prudence thing. I never heard of the song without the jet sound. You have, juniorsfarm?

Relax. I was talking about Lennon Legend, not you or Opportunity Knocks. I was saying not to pay any mind to his post since it seemed to upset you. Just what we need are some more members that jump all over for no reason.

Alright, I'll relax. It's just sometimes a bit hard to find a way in this jungle of topics and members. Bobber is right: let's remember we have at least one thing in common and let's cherish it. But, to get back to the subject: does anybody know this certain version of Dear Prudence? At least it's clear that I haven't!

Here's a version of Dear Prudence from the Esher Demo Files. It has, of course, no sound of a jet flying over at the start.
