The White Album was the one that made me become a Beatles fan. It´s one of those albums that changed my life. The ´Imagine´ soundtrack drew my attention to them but with the White Album I was simply stunned. I never cared much for Dear Prudence back then. I thought it was ok, but nothing spectecular. Now is a different story.
Anyway, do you know if Dear Prudence is available without the sound of the jet engine in the beginning? Like A Day in the Life is on the ´Imagine´ soundtrack.
Doubt it though.
They were the most brilliant, powerful, lovable, popular group on the planet...
I dunno what's going on.... but I think what Borrie meant by "I never heard it" was that s/he had never heard the version without the jet engine sound at the beginning, not that s/he had never heard Dear Prudence.
Juniorsfarm... That's not the way to welcome a new and enthousiastic forum-member, is it? I simply meant I never heard Dear Prudence without the jet sound. Try me, big boy...
Hi, this is Bobber. This is a new place for me and hope to find some Beatles-fans over here. Browsed a lot and am really looking for a place where the fans respect each other... I mean, reading all this and other messages... Is this the right place? Borrie is right: baby or maximum member: we all have the same thing in common, don't we? Baby member does not mean you've only listened to two minutes of whatever song, is it? Maybe we just didn't know about this forum before! You should have told us... Okay, about the Dear Prudence thing. I never heard of the song without the jet sound. You have, juniorsfarm?

Relax. I was talking about Lennon Legend, not you or Opportunity Knocks. I was saying not to pay any mind to his post since it seemed to upset you. Just what we need are some more members that jump all over for no reason.
Alright, I'll relax. It's just sometimes a bit hard to find a way in this jungle of topics and members. Bobber is right: let's remember we have at least one thing in common and let's cherish it. But, to get back to the subject: does anybody know this certain version of Dear Prudence? At least it's clear that I haven't!
This is coming from a person who has only heard 2 minutes of Revolution 9 and a handful of Beatles songs. Not to worry.
since wen did you know how many beatles songs ive heard, junior? more than you, obviously...and i HAVE HEARD THW HOLE OF REV 9, i i siad i havent GOT the whole of it.
Yeah, I know. Thought you might have extra powers as a moderator. Never mind, status don't mean a thing to me. Nice to enjoy the Esher demotapes again, isn't it?

Can someone interpret this for me? You've 'heard the thw hole of Rev 9, but haven't got the whole of it". Very cryptic indeed, Algernon. Maybe if I play this backwards it will mean somthing.

Oooh. Ouch. That was supposed to be an insult, right? Sum vof it migt maqe sum sence if ewe noo hwo two spel. I don't think you've got the whole of much.
1. If I should mind my own business, why are you insulting each other in public then?
2. I'm not moderating anything. I'm just suggesting, with a wink, that the two of you should get a nice place of your own and have a good conversation.
3. I see you can't handle too much criticism over here. Too bad for you. It's not me having a problem. It is you. Anyway, I will take your advice for granted. You won't see any more of me on this forum. And that's a promise.
Never want to interfere in a good conversation (sorry I do now), but I 've read the three points from juniorsfarm that Borrie replied to. They seem to have gone! Pity to read this all, anyway. Been browsing around for about ten days now or so, and I read a lot of stuff like this on this forum in total. A shame, really. Why can't we just discuss beatle-things and exchange knowledge and understanding? No, not trying to moderate things -happily that's not my job...-, but trying to respond in the spirit of peace and understanding, really.
yeah what hes done is delete that post, to make it look like he hasnt put nayhting rude; thats what dirk used 2 do...maybe juniors farm is actually dirk in disguise
