I enjoyed Instant Karma much more when I saw that it might be another dig at old mate Macca. Otherwise the song is just platitudes.

Forget Going Down On Love. Ugh. Wayne, this was really a pointless comparison. A better one would be Instant Karma versus How Do You Sleep ...

Karma it is!

And what's this about "dig at" Paul? Not every somewhat prophetic song John did post-Beatles had anything to do with Paul. I think he moved on and wasn't focusing all his thoughts on Paul, or he'd probably have a problem there.

This song is very general. Very broad-minded, very true, message. GDOL is about sex, methinks. I prefer Karma...classic.

Instant Karma (very melodic chorus) and is strong, do you know what I mean?
Going Down On Love is John in his Lost weekend as he's on Nobody Loves You When You're Down And Out. I like it too.
