Just been to Howard's Bass Place in Newcastle (Plug for Howard) ..who totally sorted my Action out, put some great new strings on..cleaned up the electrics..

I can't decide whether to put new strings on the viola bass for the upcoming gig...I love that old dampened, lifeless sound. Same strings since I bought the bass nearly 2 yrs ago. hehehehe
Hmm, I always thought leaving my old Fender Strings on gave it a more 'interesting' sound..but after slapping some RS 66 Swing Bass strings on...it sounds amazing! You could boil them apps..get rid of all the dirt and stuff. Or just keep em on

No....possibly my Boss limiter/enhancer as the pick ups on the viola are pretty clumsy....You have to find the 'sweet' spot. Otherwise your either missing top end or bass.
