These are pretty much my favorite guitar breaks by all 3. You might be wondering about Til There Was You in there. While the song is not original and pretty sappy as well, you got to admit George really flies on the acoustic there. I went with The End.

'And Your Bird Can Sing' is my favorite Beatles song, but you can't narrow the guitar breaks to just one. "Till There Was You'' was awesome by George. The backwards "I'm Only Sleeping'' is brilliant. I like the acoustic riff at the beginning of 'Bungalow Bill', the list goes on. I think there should be a separate forum just for Polls. Its just gotten way out of hand and whoever puts them together is just slapping down some of their own favorites. Its ridiculous.

I'm just saying that this site gets the crap polled out of it. You put a handful of songs down and people are supposed to pick. I hardly ever go with the choices. Plus these polls don't really serve any purpose, they are put together by people that can't think of anything of substance to post.

Something is a great lead to a great song--perfect integration.  Fluidity and tone.

You know, believe it or not, as much as I love that song, the sound of that guitar just gets on my nerves. Like nails on a chalkboard!

And Your Bird Can Sing. (Paul & George...or was it John & George?) That double guitar in unison is what makes the beautifully composed (as in notes written out ahead of time) solo really fly, lending enormous power.

Runner Up: Hey Bulldog (John)
                Honey Pie (John)

The End's 3 masterpiece guitar breaks and And Your Bird Can Sing. Only the work of geniuses such as the Beatles could have accomplished something like that.

After blasting it in my car today, I gotta add riff from 'I Want You', and it is Heavy, almost puts you in a trance. 'And Your Bird Can Sing' is still the best. I heard Joe Walsh doing it once on the radio (both parts) at the same time, not realizing George double-tracked it, but Joe is brilliant and pretty much pulled it off (no pun intended).

It's fantastic. But, don't forget the guitar intro for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band! Astonishing! And primes me for the whole song and album wonderfully.

Isn't it right that Lennon was a better guitarist than Harrison? I read it somewhere, and from what I can discern, it seems to be the case. Someone in this forum said something like; Paul had to show George exactly what to do for guitar parts in his songs.

I love the guitar in Cold Turkey. Presumably that was John on guitar.

Ticket to Ride was missing from the selections, as was I Want You (She's So Heavy).

But one acoustic gem that I've always loved, also missing, was I Will, from the White Album.  Was that Paul on that one?

Hmm, kind of a short list. No Let It Be, Octopus's Garden, Something, Hey Bulldog, and the many other selections people keep bringing up...

However, of McLen's personal favorites, I had to pick "I'm Only Sleeping" because it was such a mathematical/technical feat. I do enjoy how the guys all play off each other in "The End", however.

I think The Beatles music was moulded the way it was because niether of the two designated guitarists were great soloists. I think the best solo is on Taxman, but that's Paul, so I've gone for 'And Your Bird Can Sing'. George's most interesting solo by far.

It was of course a hard choice, but I picked I Feel Fine. I just love that song soooo much because of the amazing solo and the amazing guitar all throughout the whole thing. The End came pretty close, though.

And while I'm talking about it, does anyone else notice that at the end of I Feel Fine where it's fading out there's like this weird noise that kind of sounds like a dog barking? I don't know if it's just me, but if you turn it up loud, especially with headphones on, you can hear it perfectly clear.

I did Taxman.

BTW, I don't think the acoustic riff at the beginning of "Bungalow Bill" is a guitar solo by George, or anyone. I read it's a Mellotron, a keyboard instrument that when you press a key a loop of tape plays. Although I never figured out, doesn't that mean someone had to play the solo to put on the tape in the first place?

I love John,
I love Paul,
And George and Ringo,
I love them all!

yeah, if you listen to the actual bootleg of it without the fade, i think it's paul doing that noise.
