Oh Appy, missing the point. But it's my fault - I assumed too much. IPs identify computers on  networks, not the actual physical computers per se.

If a home computer is hooked up to "the internet" via an ISP (and certain other techie things hold), that computer will have a unique IP number. Same with a given computer in an internet cafe, library, whatever.

So it follows that if two people posting on a forum display the same IP, then they are certainly using the same computer.

But it doesn't mean they are the same person. Honestly, I would have thought all this is elementary - and totally without interest.

Am I the only kindred soul left on this board?

So you have re-iterated yourself but I still don't see what your trying to say. You use the same computer as Maria once did, you share similar opinions of Paul Mc. and have similar writing styles. She stops posting and you start? Forgive me if my math is wrong but that adds up to a reasonable diagnosis....lol.

Ydoll, you and Maria both praise For No One, and RAM as great Paul efforts. You both think John was the greates songwriter while in the Beatles, and that George was the best solo-wise. You have very similar writing styles (as mentioned before), and you both seem to enjoy pointing out people's grammatical, spelling, and typing errors.

Of course, it could all be just a wacky coincidence.

Funny, I do remember a poster named maria whose prime goal was to bait as many people as she could and get enjoyment out of it.  Strange, strange coincidence
