It is confirmed that Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band by Paul & U2, as performed at Live 8, is the fastest selling download of all times so far. This new version was released by Universal Music and reached the top of the official UK Download Chart only few hours after its release. The song was also mentioned by the Guinness Book of REcords for being the fastest released single: available only 45 minutes after McCartney and Bono had sung it on Live 8.
