Hey folks, The Beatles are on the cover of T.V. guide this week commemorating the 40th anniversary of the the Shea Stadium concert. The are previously unpublished photos, an article and four different covers to choose from one of each beatle. I just had to buy the cover with John on it.

I got the Paul and John ones. Now I feel guilty cuz I didn't get the other two. Like I snubbed them or something.

They might be cool I guess, but its a pretty shameless way to sell extra copies.

^ Yeah, but the real shame is nobody is broadcasting this concert on this 40th anniversary. TV Guide usually does special covers to cash in on a televised special event as with the recent Elvis specials. You would think that one of the major broadcast companies would have done a special on the Shea concert with remastered video and sound and maybe some interviews with the surviving Beatles and others affiliated with the concert. But alas, they have dropped the ball again.

They probably weren't given permission. The Beatles and co. seem to be very stingy these days. When's the last time you saw a Beatles movie on tv? Probably Anthology. And that was a tease so we'd all go and buy the full length version. I'd bet anything any of the major networks would die for a chance to play the Shea concert. They know how many viewers it would get!

Agree, I have another example:

So that means I now have to buy 3 copies of the same magazine. And here in Iceland they are very expensive. 55$ for the 3 copies. I know it´s cool idea and everything but still...

I lost my Paul cover. I'm really bummed.

How could you lose it? You should keep all your Beatles books and stuff in a little bookcase, that's what I do.

I think I threw it away when I was cleaning. My mom was coming in to visit and I panicked. Now Paul's in the smelly trash.

Really? That's strange. I'm glad I found my Paul one now, but bummed I didn't buy George and Ringo! But I wouldn't sell them anyway. Not unless they were getting the big bucks.

I wouldn't pay that much for a copy, especially since the information in it is useless to me.

Its amazing that they are already getting that inflated in price. Its only been one month.

Those crazy Beatle nuts. You know how they can be. Spending all their hard earned money....I keep telling myself that, but it doesn't seem to help.

But like, in 2000, they had the Beatles on the cover and I have Paul and John. (for those)
