two amazing awesome insane great album, which two do you like better? Mine is going for Dark Side, mainly because it has stronger lyrics and stronger music, Us and them , and Time are the two greatest songs on here. |

'The Wall' was my bible in high school and part of college, so it wins hands down. Dark Side of the Moon is brilliant, but I'm so tired of that album, it will be of little moment to me if I ever hear any of it again, except for maybe "Time". |

Dark Side. I'll never get tired to listening to that. The Wall is great, but it's huge and there's not as many songs on it that hit me like the ones on Dark Side. Personally though, Wish You Were Here is my favorite Floyd album. Five songs. All amazing. |

The Wall isn't in the same league as Meddle-Dark Side Of The Moon-Wish You Were Here-Animals............so it's an easy choice. |

What the hell is wrong with you? Just kidding. But seriously, have you checked out any older stuff? Piper At The Gates Of Dawn? More? A Saucerful Of Secrets? As for the poll, I think were going about this the wrong way. All in all, Dark Side Of The Moon is the more musically and lyrically advanced obviously but I just love The Wall so much. Its obvious it takes more talent to come up with Dark Side as opposed to The Wall but for some reason The Wall is just my all-time favorite album. Saw the film when I was eight and thats what really opened me up to music on an emotional level. |

THIS was a tough choice, but I prefer DSOTM to the Wall. |

I have every Floyd album on cd, and some of them on vynils too...I listened to every album a lot, probably started listening to them even before you were born...and I get tired of it quickly when i listen to them too much...It's not that I dislike and hate them to death, they're a great band, it's just that there is way better out there thats all...When listening really too much of it it gets boring... |

Yeah, I think you could say with little argument that Roger's voice really stood out for the first time. Lennon-Lemon, I just can't fathom the idea of getting bored of Floyd. Mainly because if I get bored of one album I'll go onto the next since they are all so drastically diffrent. I would say Pink Floyd have been five diffrent bands in their career and I think most will agree: The Syd Barrett Band (Piper At The Gates Of Dawn) The Pink Floyd Band (A Saucerful Of Secrets-Wish You Were Here) The Roger Waters Band (Animals-The Final Cut) The David Gilmour Band (A Momentary Lapse Of Reason) The Pink Floyd Brand (The Division Bell) |

Couldn't disagree with that. Mind you, they are very clear divisions. I voted for DSOTM. Never could get into The Wall. |

I like both, Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall ... they're quite different ... the first sounds more like a united work and the second one is more like a long journey with different landscapes ... ... both are a delightful sound expierence ... but some of the "tracks" of The Wall are somewhat boring (more like The White Album, for example) ... something hard to find in Dark Side Of The Moon (more like Revolver, for example) ... ... I guess that when you're getting older you can't standd songs that you don't enjoy too much, you skip more ... |

Iguess I should too. I was very influenced by NME at the time. Another album I detested, and which I haven't heard for 26 years, is Double Fantasy, and maybe I should give that another go as well. (though I ain't buyin g it) |

Double Fantasy? You should ... it deserves a listen now and then ... John's tracks are quite good (my favourite is probably Watching The Wheels) and Yoko's ... well, that's another story ... |

So KEVIN you was influenced by NME critics who had to slag off floyd because the punk explosion was a good meal ticket for them |

Where they went wrong was in favouring one type of music over another, thereby paving the way for magazines such as Q, and Mojo. I liked a lot of elements of punk rock, but I aslo still liked all the other stuff I was already listening to. NME failed to cater for people like that. Unfortunately Britain never really had a 'Rolling Stone'. |

Hey, mr kite, by late 70s there was a lot of good music and styles so it was somewhat difficult to listen to everything that was worth while ... you needed someone (a friend or whoever) to help you to get through all the best albums ... sadly nowadays it's quite more easy |

'80 to '86 was a lean time for me musically. Double Fantasy, Back To The Egg, Rotogravure and every Harrison album since ATMP had killed off any post '70 Beatles interest I had. The Romantics left me cold (it sounded like disco to me, though I'm changing my appreciation somewhat these days.) Hawks and Doves and Reactor had ended my Neil Young phase. There was nothing contempory that I wanted to buy. Unfortunately this coincided with my period as a band member and my dash for stardom, at the exact time I completely lacked any inspiration. I recovered my love for rock when I found Goth (and the cool 80's vintage Goth, not the modern skinny pale "I'm going to kill myself" modern bastard child.) |
