It's one of the Beatles books I've gotten over the years... I was wondering if anyone else has heard of it. I mean, it's stuff that every Beatle fan should know, but it's still a fairly decent bio.

I always thought it was a great book. Well researched by Philip Norman, but it is decidedly, and admittedly, biased towards John.

Ah, you should finish it, it's hard to not like it if you never finish it!

A lot of what I read is geared more towards John.. mainly because he and Paul were the founders, so I think most of the credit goes to them.

I remember when the book came out!

He (Norman) was on a talk show proudly announcing that he researched and found out the exact date John met Paul but it wasn't right, was it?!

I've heard he disliked Paul.

John: You're just a lonely old man from Liverpool.
Grandfather: But I'm clean!
John: Are ya?

I'm not sure... Yeah, I had my moments of Paul dislikement, but if I were to write a book about the Beatles, I'd treat him fairly.
