OK, we have drums and bass - who wants to add some rhythm guitar?

I never recorded on the computer before, although I think I have some software somewhere. And I have a Line 6 Pod, which seems to be ideal for recording on the computer as well. A quick tutorial anyone?

Hey Bobber...Should be relatively simple. Line out of your pod....mini jack convertor and then put into mic input on your PC.

Let me know what software you run and I'll try and do a summary for you.

Also just another reminder to Al. Any chance of a copy of bass n drums track so I can do that chord sheet?

Cool, if you open up cu-base.....This is from memory...

I think you go to Preferences or Devices. (Top left of screen)

Then audio inputs and select from options...There should be a sis7310 or something with a similar title....(It will be the description of your computers soundcard.) It may select it automatically.

Hope that is of some help.

Hi Rick,

Here is the drum track mixed with the bass track - I had a bit of a nightmare synching the two tracks, this is as good as I could get it!

Hmmmm Maybe I was in a sloppy mood when I recorded that bassline!! Sort of gets tighter nearer to the end. It felt great at the time!!! lol

Sounds a bit too distorted aswell. I wasn't sure how the file would sound. It could be that I recorded with too much input or might need to raise the quality for transfer. This is still a good exercise and once we can iron these problems out, I'm sure this will be the first ever Beatles forum with a collaborative, international online album to send to Paul and Ringo!!!! heheheh

Al, send me the drums as MP3 and I'll do a tighter, simpler thing. (Only way I can import this track into nuendo, it won't accept MP4a. I had to play along with drums on win-amp whilst recording on Nuendo. Not ideal.)

I'll do a chord sheet aswell. Alternatively, if the mood could be set by a guitar, I don't mind.

Here ya go, these are the 2 tracks combined in MP3 format: http://s41.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=29IXBGD828BGA3S8B0R4HOGMG4

This is the drum track on its own in MP3 format: http://s54.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0JX9F6F3NWM32J0G95MAKRLB6

Rick ,are you recording your bass again? If you are, would it be possible to send it back to me with the drums on the left channel and the bass right (or vice versa)? Just makes it a bit easier to mix cos I'm lazy!!

I suggest we call the band Sgt. Dmitry's Blase Minds Forum. Allen Road works too.

Gonna d-load drums now. I'll see if I can get it to match up with the bass line I did on my nuendo program.....I may be able to chop and edit a nice bassline out of what I already sketched.

If not, I'll do a new one. By the way if anyones got any idea's about feels or song influences for this bassline, you better say quick!!!! All idea's welcomed.
