It's Yoko's fault I can't think of better faults. It's Yoko's fault I don't have a girlfriend. It's Yoko's fault for America invaded Vietnam.
"No one around you will love you today and throw it all away..." "Nothing is real..." "Its all in the mind..." "And life flows on within you and without you..."
It's Yoko's fault I still haven't memorized all my lines It's Yoko's fault the party got cancelled It's Yoko's fault my friend loves someone else and not me It's Yoko's fault I am completely and totally broke
You're so vain, you probably think this post is about you.
Heather Mills has taken her promotion of veganism to another level in her new book, a healthy living manual.
In the 64-page book entitled Get Healthy with Heather, the 40-year-old former wife of ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney dispenses advice on how to live a stress-free life, including swapping to a vegan diet.
Heather said: "Spring is in the air and this is a time for change, regeneration and new beginnings. We all know sometimes that life’s problems can be quite overwhelming so it’s really important we learn to relax properly and iron out those everyday stresses and strains.”
Packed with motivational quotes and tips from Heather, the book advises on the best way to move to a vegan diet.
The tome is not the first time Heather has extolled the virtues of veganism.
Last November, she launched a campaign with vegetarian group Viva - which is also involved with her new book - encouraging people to drink rats’ and dogs’ milk to help save the planet.
Arguing that livestock creates more carbon emissions than transport, Heather suggested drinking the different milk could help cut global warming.
She said: “There are many other kinds of milk available. Why don't we try drinking rats' milk and dogs' milk?”
Um, have you ever tried to milk a rat? I used to have them as pets. Um, they're little?!?!? You'd probably have to milk 10 to get one tiny glass of milk. I don't even know if it's possible to milk a dog. And why are we milking omnivores/carnivores? Their milk has way different nutritional content than cows or goats. Consider the number of people who are lactose intolerant just to cows milk.
This is what happens when people who don't know much go around making pronouncements. Not that I'm an expert, but finding a milk that is nutritional for little zoo critters (like the famous polar bears Klondike and Snow) who were rejected by their mother is no trivial matter. Milk is not interchangeable; it's sort of customized. I suppose people could eat it because we can eat almost anything but... I think her point was that you don't need to set aside acreage for rats or dogs-- or perhaps they don't expel methane? Hard to say.
I'd like to understand her meaning, because she's a role model for me in so many ways. Already I'm planning my move on a rich Saudi prince. I have my work cut out; topping $34,000 per day will be tough. But it's a nice challenge.
All you've got to do is choose love. That's how I live it now. I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden. I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007
