I know this is a huge long shot, but does anyone know where I can download Nellie McKay's cover of If I Needed Someone? I am a huge fan of hers and I've been lookinge evrywhere for the mp3!!

I know that the cover lasts 2.17 but here you can download a 0.29 sample:

Click on If I Needed Someone (Nellie McKay) and then right clik on Download Sample and choose "save as..." or similar.

you can download some longer samples of some of the covers of the tribute album but If I Needed Someone is not one of them.

I have that album. The Fiery Furnaces song is absolutely horrible, it should be illegal to record such bad covers. I'm a fan of Sufjan Stevens but I strongly dislike his cover as well... The rest of the album is surprisingly good. Most songs are pretty decent. Ben Harper's song is hands down my favorite.

I hope they'll make similar 40th anniversary tributes for every post-Rubber Soul album.
