I was watching a biography on "Peter Frampton" and it said as a young kid he hung around with Bill Wyhman of the Stones it also talked about the "original" Stones line up and I really wasn't listening closly, but they reffered to a different drummer than Charlie Watt??? This was probebly prior to being signed to a record label? Anyone know who this very young kid was?
^ This got me reading about Ian Stewart. I'm thinking "how ugly can a guy be?" (especially for The Stones). Poor guy, a face only a mother could love. At least they let him stay part of the family. Roger Waters is lucky old Loog didn't manage Floyd.
Several drummers would play with the band - Mick Avory (who later would join the Kinks), Tony Chapman, Charlie Watts and Carlo Little.
I had no idea that the Stones had different drummers. I thought old Charlie was with them from the conception. Its great to learn something new everyday.
***I love Mick Avory's playing and i've heard of Tony Chapman too, but Carlo Little,,,?***
I remember reading that Charlie didn't touch hard drugs all through the others addiction period in the 70's, but became a heroin junkie in the early 90's (I think) when he must have been at least 50. Wierd

How about a little respect for the dead? Ian Stewart played a significant, integral role through a huge part of the Stones history, and you are going to derogate because of looks? How shallow.
None of the Stones other than "Mick" Taylor that is had the looks! They carved their reputation by their music and bad boy image! You don't need to be handsome to pull off the bad boy thing!

True. I merely meant that to be kicked out of what was often described as the ugliest band in the world for not being facially blessed is quite a feat.

Apparently too ugly to be able to be photographed. Having the hardest time finding a good image of him!
I love John, I love Paul, And George and Ringo, I love them all!
