Even now yup.
And Eminem didn't cover any Madonna song... in fact I know not of anything he has covered that springs to mind. |

THe most interesting video is where she pick up the elderly lady from the home and racers her yellow camaro around town! That ladies and gentlemen is how you make a video! Cool slow motion shot of the Firebird hitting the pole head on is stunning also! (Ps don't even know the name of the song |

Madonna is a perfect example of how you can fool most of the people most of the time. Some give her credit for continuously 'reinventing' herself. She's not. She's just a talentless whorebag who has had to work harder and harder at creating shock value to cover up her lack of talent. 500 costume changes per concert, all kinds of eyewash with dancers, etc., so people's attention won't be drawn to the fact that she is terrible. Julie Brown's "Medusa" documentary is a hilarious spoof, almost Rutles-like in her takeoff of how ridiculous Madonna is as an entertainer and 'person'. But bully for her- she has made a fortune out of being a talentless whore, and the minions have bought into it. |

She does what she does well in a business that has always been as much to do with image as content. (The Beatles were happy to kick out a good mate and undergo a drastic image change in order to get noticed.) And c'mon, the rock'n'roll business has been conning us since the word go.

I don't think Madonna is relying on shock value anymore as little of the things she used to do could be considered shocking nowadays. It kind of says something about the decline of society. |

Been thinking about this a little more. Are Madonnas costume changes and dances any worse than the stage excessess of say Kiss, Floyd or The Stones. It's just a modern slant, that's all. People want to see a show (damn those Frankfurters). As an aside, I can't believe I'm defending Madge, cos I don't really care for her, but respect where respect is due. |

In all honesty, I like at least a dozen of her tunes. I thought 'Beautiful Stranger' was excellent. I'm not heavy into her or anything and i'm not trying to debate her talent, but she has made some music thats entertaining to my ears. Thats more than I can say for a lot of other bands. |

"Beautiful Stranger" was excellent. Then again, "Like A Virgin" is excellent to mock. ... there's a particularly scarring picture of Madonna in Rolling Stone in fishnets... on a couch... almost. I re-e-eally didn't need to see that. X_X |

I think "Ray of Light" is my favorite Madonna song, although "Like a Virgin" was the song that got me interested in her. |

Pretty cool what Madonna did with "Ray of Light" -- wasn't that a song originally by a hippie sort of band, and the guy who wrote it was flat broke? Then Madonna brought it out and it was a big hit...
I don't remember the story well. XD; |

Yeah, and the guy got a ton of royalties for the song, and he was able to start up a recording studio... or something like that. That's pretty neat. |
