I know that Mick Jagger sang backup vocals on this song, but my mom says that it was written about him because he and Carly Simon used to date. Is this true?

I'm going with the dark horse.  Yes, that's right, Cat Stevens.  Il gatto himself.  Maybe he wore apricot scarves before he became Yusuf Islam.  Would make a more interesting story than the other three pictured on the website.

I think she was singing about her husband at the time James Taylor & trying to make it a little mystery lyrically because Jagger sang background vocals when the secret probably ISN'T a big deal.
