OK. My latest thread: If John was the progressive one, George was the spiritual one, Ringo was the fun one, then Paul was the...romantic one? But, didn't they ALL write and/or sing ballads, even later on in their career! So, how would YOU describe Macca in the Beatles' days? John Peel once mentioned something about the decency of Paul in a TV interview. But, it doesn't mean that the other Beatles weren't decent - except for some of John's antics and comments! Maybe we could see Paul as the 'productive' one - he wrote most of the songs!

I wouldn't say cute - not directly connected to the music! I like 'driving force'. Can you think of a single word adjective to express it? How about - ambitious! Yes, I like that - Paul the ambitious one! You made my mind up, Ms. Sandra!
Their roles changed as the band and circumstances changed. I therefore don't think it's possible to tag either of them with a label that will stick over the bands entire career.
