I was originally gonna have it be "best keytarist" but it wouldnt get much response. so who is the best drummer.

i'm gonna say Larry Mullen Jr. of U2 because a. its the only drummer outside of beatles that i know alot of the material and who it is, and b. no one out there would say him b/c he's in U2

so come on, tell me who you think really knows how to bang!

and for you thinking in the gutter, the answer is me

not alot of drummer fans out there? Larry is still the best to me, that militaristic drum feel he puts into it, especially in Sunday Bloody Sunday, are some of the best I've ever heard. definately a toe tapper

It's either Peart, Bonham, or Mitch Michell. The top three, IMO.

Buddy Rich was the greatest I have ever heard or seen, but then again, there is no such thing as a greatest drummer. They're all different.

My favorite drummer is Phil Ehart from Kansas, but theres better drummers. If I had a rock-n-roll band, i'd choose Bonham. If I had a band that played a little bit of everything, i'd choose Hal Blaine.

Ringo is one of my favourites.

The Beatles being my favourite band is obviously foremost based on the songs/albums of the guys, and the drumming is a vital element - thus Ringo is part of my favouirte drummer list.

ringo is simple, yet divine in his drumming

I want you to try to play 'A Day In The Life', 'I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Cry (over you)', 'Instant Amnesia', 'Drumming Is My Madness', and 'Strawberry Fields' to just name a few. Simple indeed.
