Add to this the fact that the BBC some years ago banned Radio One from playing Beatles music, and it could make you wonder if the Britlanders have enough respect for one of Britain's/England's greatest cultural icons! On the other hand, in the BBC's poll of the greatest 100 British people several years back, John Lennon did make it into the top ten. Paul and George made the top 100, though Ringo didn't figure at all in the poll. |
