I wonder, how many songs are out there about the King? Or just where his name is mentioned or Graceland...etc. Must be dozens.

Walking in Memphis - March Cohn
Elvis Presley and America - U2
God - John Lennon
Graceland - Paul Simon

Isn't the new Robbie Williams single about Elvis?

Elvis is mentioned in "Man On The Moon by REM", even though it's not about him.

A Dutch singer called Danny Mirror had a hit with a song called "I Remember Elvis Presley", or something like that. He recorded it one day after Elvis died. A**hole.

A classic Dutch punk band called The Tits had a song called "We're So Glad Elvis Is Dead".

Public Enemy's "Fight The Power" also contains a not-so flattering line: "Elvis was a hero to most / But he never meant mess to me you see / Straight up racist that sucker was / Simple and plain / Mother f*** him and John Wayne"

There are tons of references ...

What about "Nowhere Man" ... read it without prejuices and you've got another one ...

... of course it's not about him but it fits quite well with his reality in those years.
