What does my opinion on 5 albums I hate have to do with how many I own? Am I supposed to like these albums because maybe the general public accepts them? I'm sorry, but I think those 5 albums suck. I have probably around 6 to 7 hundred cd's if your interested. No, its not a lot, but its enough for now. Another thing is that I usually buy cd's that i'm pretty sure i'm going to like or whats the purpose?
I was trying to say (by not saying) that those albums quite good (even great in some of the cases), of course in my opinion ... and so the sentence about quantity: if those are the worst the rest must be masterpieces, then, ... and how many are in the world?.
I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable with this.

Just kidding dude.
But if you've got 700 CDs and they're all better than Nevermind and (What's The Story) Morning Glory than you must have an amazing collection. Cause those aren't exactly embarrassing albums to own if you ask me.
Okay, I think it's time for a little Fact vs. Opinion 101. Here's an example.
Opinion: "Lita Ford sucks."
Fact: "Lita Ford's post-Runaways albums are overproduced and her lyrics are not impressive."
Opinion: "Lita Ford rules!"
Fact: "Lita Ford is an excellent guitar player with a strong vocal range."
My apologies to Lita Ford for using her as my example b****.
I think I see your point, but I don't agree with your theory, because what you call facts here are mostly still just opinions.
It can never be a 'fact' that anything is overproduced. Cause for someone that likes that production, it's not overproduced. Even bad lyrics can be impressive to some people. That's a matter of taste. 'An excellent guitar player' is not a fact either, you can argue if that's a matter of taste or not, but in any case, 'excellent' is always relative. 'Strong vocal range', I'm willing to accept that as a fact.
You have shitty taste. How can you say that Nevermind, The Final Cut, and Tormato are bad?
No, he has different taste. I love "Teen Spirit" but can't listen to Nevermind. Too much noise for me. Please play nice, otherwise what could be a fun debate just ends up a slanging match.

First of all, i'm sorry about being on the rag the other day. With the Seahawks in the superbowl and working in Pittsburgh, my mind hasnt been right for awhile. Now, as for your question,,,,,
Nevermind - What is so great about this album? All I hear is a bunch of three chord songs with a guy screaming most of the time that he's singing. The drumming is uninspiring (although Dave is a good drummer from what i've heard on other projects) and the lyrics are shallow. Polly wants a cracker my @ss. If I want to hear a bunch of three chord songs, i'll slap on Please Please Me as it easily out shines this record. Did Nirvanas music ever grow or develop any further (probably not) because after this disaster, I didnt give them a second chance.
The Final Cut - Easily the worst and most boring album Pink Floyd has ever done. What gets you off about this effort? I at least mentioned two songs that I thought were alright, but the rest,,,,I dont think so. How far can you get through that record before you fall asleep? A better question is, how many times have you felt compelled to play it. No amount of drugs or booze could make this interesting.
Tormato - Again, easily YES's worst album. EVER! I love YES and have alot of friends that are YES freaks and this record fails. As I said earlier, it starts off great with the opening track and then nothing else has any substance to it. What makes this such a great album to you? If you dont agree with my opinion, your sure welcome to read other reviews of it. I'm sure you'll get almost the same thing as I just typed.
As for the Oasis cd's. I just dont care for them or get why people make such a big deal. Ask Rickenbacher (Larry) on this forum as to how well I like them. I offered to send them to him in exchange for a 45 he sent me. He would have lost out on that trade. Anyways, trading these for any two cd's I might find interesting still stands if anybody wants them.
**Again, these are just my opinions, but i'd love to hear yours.**

I agree on what you said...I never really like Nirvana, and since i have nevermind i think i only listened to it once... but we all have different tastes thats all...
Another one - Stone Roses "greatest hits". Apart from the tracks from THE album (can't remember its name - "Stone Roses"?) the rest are plodding medium paced rockers. Dismal.
I find it really wierd that people can love the Beatles and not Oasis. They are so much the same genre - every Oasis song sounds like it should be a Beatle song. Wonderwall, Champagne Supernover, Don't Look Back in Anger - all would have made great Beatle songs. And I like picking out all the references and jokes. Funny old world. Good luck with the Superbowl Ttikna. Are your guys favourites?
