Mine:

The Stinky Puffs - A Litle Tiny Smelly Bit Of...
I bought this because I was a huge Nirvana fan then and Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl played on it. This is a alternative garage band fronted by two 12 year old kids, and it shows. Besides them the band consists of musicians from several cult bands, but apparently they thought it would be fun to play like they were untalented 12 years olds as well. Awful.

V/A - Dynamite With A Laserbeam
This is, apparently a Queen tribute, but the weird thing about it is that I get the feeling that every band on this CD really hates Queen, cause they all really butcher the songs. It sounds like the bands here either (A) can't play (B) intentionally ruin the song to make some kind of anti-Queen statement or (C) try to be artsy-fartsy and make their song as unrecognizable as possible.

Some albums by artists I thought I liked that only got played once:
The Proclaimers - This Is The Story
Cowboy Junkies - The Trinity Sessions
Camper Van Beethoven -everything.
Neil Young - Reactor.
John and Yoko - Double Fantasy ( OK, not the worst, but perhaps the biggest dissapointment of my album-listening life.)

I have Tracy Chapman's album with Fast Car. It's rather annoying and dreary. Like Kevin, I got Double Fantasy and that has not reached the stereo very much. And of course McCartney II. And what about Wet Wet Wet: High On The Happy Side.

Camper Van Beethoven -everything

That's fascinating.

The question was: 'what are the worst albums you own?'. You say it's everything by Camper Van Beethoven. Which means you own every Camper Van Beethoven album. So you either bought them all at once and made the worst purchase EVER because you didn't like any of them... OR... You got one of their albums, hated it, but for some reason bought all the others anyway.

Again: fascinating.

I own plenty of stuff, but honestly, those albums I have mentioned have probably ownly seen my cd player a total of 5 to 6 times ever. The Oasis stuff was given to me because my friend didnt like them either and I cant stand them. The Nirvana one, I bought when it came out because I thought 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' was a catchy tune, but quickly grew tired of it after a week and the rest of it sucks. The opening track to Tormato is great, but the rest of the album tanks. I actually like 'Not Now John' and 'The Hero's Return' off of 'The Final Cut' but the rest is boring as hell.

Ok, I do own a Spencer Davis cd that I bought at a pawn shop for $1.00 in which is nothing more than elevator muzak. I got robbed. I also have a double cd of Anne Murrays greatest hits that was bought for me as a joke (it doesnt even have Snowbird or anything on it. Imagine that). I also bought am Eric Burdon and the Animals cd that was actually done by some funk band that is unlistenable (I was had again), so there probably is worse than I listed.

What does my opinion on 5 albums I hate have to do with how many I own? Am I supposed to like these albums because maybe the general public accepts them? I'm sorry, but I think those 5 albums suck. I have probably around 6 to 7 hundred cd's if your interested. No, its not a lot, but its enough for now. Another thing is that I usually buy cd's that i'm pretty sure i'm going to like or whats the purpose?

Point. I couldn't remember the title. It had "Take the Skinheads Bowling" on it. So I went all inclusive. (I'd heard other stuff on TV etc since)

I was trying to say (by not saying) that those albums quite good (even great in some of the cases), of course in my opinion ... and so the sentence about quantity: if those are the worst the rest must be masterpieces, then, ... and how many are in the world?.

I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable with this.

Just kidding dude.

But if you've got 700 CDs and they're all better than Nevermind and (What's The Story) Morning Glory than you must have an amazing collection. Cause those aren't exactly embarrassing albums to own if you ask me.

Okay, I think it's time for a little Fact vs. Opinion 101. Here's an example.

Opinion: "Lita Ford sucks."

Fact: "Lita Ford's post-Runaways albums are overproduced and her lyrics are not impressive."

Opinion: "Lita Ford rules!"

Fact: "Lita Ford is an excellent guitar player with a strong vocal range."

My apologies to Lita Ford for using her as my example b****.

I think I see your point, but I don't agree with your theory, because what you call facts here are mostly still just opinions.

It can never be a 'fact' that anything is overproduced. Cause for someone that likes that production, it's not overproduced. Even bad lyrics can be impressive to some people. That's a matter of taste. 'An excellent guitar player' is not a fact either, you can argue if that's a matter of taste or not, but in any case, 'excellent' is always relative. 'Strong vocal range', I'm willing to accept that as a fact.

No, he has different taste. I love "Teen Spirit" but can't listen to Nevermind. Too much noise for me.

First of all, i'm sorry about being on the rag the other day. With the Seahawks in the superbowl and working in Pittsburgh, my mind hasnt been right for awhile. Now, as for your question,,,,,

Nevermind - What is so great about this album? All I hear is a bunch of three chord songs with a guy screaming most of the time that he's singing. The drumming is uninspiring (although Dave is a good drummer from what i've heard on other projects) and the lyrics are shallow. Polly wants a cracker my @ss. If I want to hear a bunch of three chord songs, i'll slap on Please Please Me as it easily out shines this record. Did Nirvanas music ever grow or develop any further (probably not) because after this disaster, I didnt give them a second chance.

The Final Cut - Easily the worst and most boring album Pink Floyd has ever done. What gets you off about this effort? I at least mentioned two songs that I thought were alright, but the rest,,,,I dont think so. How far can you get through that record before you fall asleep? A better question is, how many times have you felt compelled to play it. No amount of drugs or booze could make this interesting.

Tormato - Again, easily YES's worst album. EVER! I love YES and have alot of friends that are YES freaks and this record fails. As I said earlier, it starts off great with the opening track and then nothing else has any substance to it. What makes this such a great album to you? If you dont agree with my opinion, your sure welcome to read other reviews of it. I'm sure you'll get almost the same thing as I just typed.

As for the Oasis cd's. I just dont care for them or get why people make such a big deal. Ask Rickenbacher (Larry) on this forum as to how well I like them. I offered to send them to him in exchange for a 45 he sent me. He would have lost out on that trade. Anyways, trading these for any two cd's I might find interesting still stands if anybody wants them.

**Again, these are just my opinions, but i'd love to hear yours.**

Another one - Stone Roses "greatest hits".
Apart from the tracks from THE album (can't remember its name  - "Stone Roses"?) the rest are plodding medium paced rockers. Dismal.

I find it really wierd that people can love the Beatles and not Oasis. They are so much the same genre - every Oasis song sounds like it should be a Beatle song. Wonderwall, Champagne Supernover, Don't Look Back in Anger - all would have made great Beatle songs. And I like picking out all the references and jokes.
Funny old world.
Good luck with the Superbowl Ttikna. Are your guys favourites?

Didnt the lead singer say something once like "We are better then the Beatles" ??

I think they just try to copy the Beatles thats why people dont like them.

True. But I reackon it's all done with a nod and a wink. I like to think it's more influence than copying. They're are carrying on a proud tradition, and I see it as a compliment (Beatlewise). And I like that "we are the best" attitude. Remind us of anyone? And I find their in-your- face attitude quite refreshing (most British bands are a bit shoe-gazy self-effacing for me.)

Because sounding the same as a good band doesn't automatically make you a good band too.

Oasis has some great songs, but their albums are dissapointing. And their attitude stinks.

At what, bowling?

Even if Oasis would have better songs than the Beatles (which they don't), then there's still the fact that the Beatles were innovators while Oasis never added anything to a style of music that was already 30 years old when they started.

Electronic Sound (May 1969) - George Harrison

1 UNDER THE MERSEY WALL (Harrison) - 18:43
Recorded at Esher in Merrie England;
with the assistance of Rupert and Jostick
The Siamese Twins: February 1969.

2 NO TIME OR SPACE (Harrison) - 25:06
Recorded in California: November 1968
with the assistance of Bernie Krause.

-------
Acording to DM's site:
"George Harrison - Guitar (sic), Vocals, Producer
Ron Furmanek - Reissue Digital Remastering
Bernie Krause - Assistant
Peter Mew - Engineer"
--------

Produced by George Harrison for Apple Records, Inc.
Published by Apple Music Publishing Co., Inc.
Sleeve design by George Harrison

"In 1969, Apple Records introduced a subsidiary label, Zapple, meant to showcase more experimental recordings, as opposed to quality work. Only two Zapple albums made it to the racks, and the sales figures for both suggests they sat in said racks untouched. One was John and Yoko's Unfinished Music Number 2, Life With The Lions, consisting of such things as Yoko screaming over John's guitar feedback, the two of them singing newspaper articles, and radio dial twiddling. George's Electronic Sound was more musical, but only in the sense that it features no singing. It is a whole album of Ge
