She's not exactly at a career high at the moment. She's even started running a dodgy psychic phoneline.

Thanks, Andy Smith! The fact is i am not from the UK, i know little about its current show business, i dont mean rock or britpop, i mean such as Cliff Richard and the like - However, who wouldnt know anything about Cliff? - Though i knew a thing or two about Cilla, Sandy Show, Mary Hopkins, and, could you help me, the girl who sang the song Rose Garden. Was her name smth Anderson? My parents have some of their records. In fact i love British music, and Paul was absolutely right when he said at the ceremony of awards that British music is the best. And what a huge contribution he and the fellars made and still making!

A thread on Mary Hopkin can be found here: http://www.dmbeatles.com/forums/m-1163629854/s-9/

Bill Harry has just posted a lot of information on Cilla Black in the Fifth Beatles section.

Lynn Anderson? She was American.

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

I remember "Rose Garden," oddly enough: I must have been about six. There's a decent write up of her in Wikipedia:
