That's not correct. Chas Newby played four shows with The Beatles in December 1960, after their return from Hamburg. Chas was asked to play these shows after Stu decided to stay in Hamburg and The Beatles were without a bassplayer. Chas left in January 1961 because he returned to college.

You're correct. Seems my memory fails to provide correct informations as soon as I got older....

Since Kate's photo of young military Brian fails to show ~
(I recognize the filename as being one originally posted by me on the LiveJournal Beatlepics Community, hahaa) ~
Here's an Eppy to make up for it:

And the original pic of Brian as a young man in the miliary:

I've got his pre-Beatles life in photos posted in that community, if anyone's interested in the link.
...Probably not. *sigh*

Always smiling, good-natured all the way around, I can't say it enough, just an absolute Gentleman. I wish I'd gotten his autograph when I had the chance 2 years ago. I think it's poor that Clapton, who he had been working with extensively, Ringo, any of the Stones, who aren't touring, didn't show up to pay their respects. They have enough money to charter jets and be there. Paul is the same, but getting him around these days is like trying to move the President with all the security, etc.

Okay, re my old post detailing Brian's pre-Beatles life in photos -

- I'm sorry I didn't see your answer earlier, TheEnd, but for some reason I didn't get an email alert on it.
(Still trying to learn how to navigate/manipulate the forum)

Here's the link, I hope you enjoy it:
