I just heard the song and man....did I like what I heard. It didn't sound like any of his recent stuff. If I had no idea what album it came from and what year it came out, my guess would have been that it came out sometime in the 70s. His voice sounds like it did in the early 70s, similar to something like Monkberry Moon Delight. Its definately a very good rocker..something that sounds like its from the 70s. I remember reading a post saying that people fond of Driving rain aren't too fond of this song? How in the heck can they not like this song? It simply rocks.

I talked a little bit about this song in an earlier thread and i stated that I like it, but I felt that Pauls voice strained to get what he was looking for and thats what detracted the song for me. It is a nice rocker and a welcome addition to 'Driving Rain'. As for the record itself, I stated that a lot of people seemed to hold it fairly low on the Paul list. Kolarski hated 'DR' but he was an @sshole, so the record rose up my list rather quickly.

Driving Rain is good but has taken a back step in my ratings since Chaos and Creation in the Backyard.

Macca's music has made a quiet renaissance (spl?) in the last ten years or so, in my honest opinion.

I listened to driving rain and I didn't really like it too much. I could tell that his voice is strained in a lot of the songs. I could also kinda tell his voice was a bit strained in Rinse of Raindrops, but I still love the song. To me it still sounds like his voice is similar to something like Monkberry Moon Delight.
